Applied Analytics on-line analysers and sampling systems
For nearly two decades, Applied Analytics has been manufacturing on-line analysers and
sampling systems for the chemical, process, pharmaceutical, petrochemical (oil and
gas) industries. The instruments we develop and manufacture here in Concord, MA are designed
for consistent accuracy, flexibility in measurement parameters, fast response, low
maintenance, and durability in even the most corrosive industrial environments. Their
process analysers have been installed in such diverse regions of the world as
Brazil, Sweden, Mexico, Qatar, northern Canada, Kazakhstan, and Indonesia, among many
others. As the company continues to expand its operations and provide elegant analytical
solutions, AAI technology stands to become a global standard for the industry. (Stand 1516)
IMI Sensors range The IMI Sensors division of PCB Piezotronics
specializes in the design and manufacture of industrial ICP® accelerometers, vibration sensors,
4-20 mA
vibration transmitters, reciprocating machinery monitors, and vibration switches for machinery
condition monitoring and predictive maintenance. Highlighted will be our industry exclusive
products, such as the new Series 686B 2-wire USB programmable Smart Vibration Switch, which provides
a cost-effective alternative to unreliable mechanical switches; loop-powered 4-20 mA transmitters
for cost effective on-line monitoring using existing plant systems; Model 699A02 1g handheld shaker,
which provides calibration and performance verification at the machine; and the patented Bearing
Fault Detector, providing early warning of bearing failure.
YAPFEST dates decided - 14th October
YAPFEST is a social gathering
for young automation professionals and students who study engineering and other automation fields.
The gathering offers free food and beverages; raffles for prizes, including an Alienware Notebook,
MP3 Player, iPod, and Xbox games; musical entertainment; scholarship opportunities; and networking
with potential employers. ASCO Numatics, the world's leading manufacturer of flow control and
pneumatics solutions, will be presenting two scholarship awards and offering other scholarship
opportunities during YAPFEST 2008. Attendees will also receive a free conference session pass to ISA
EXPO for the day of YAPFEST and a 50% off coupon for any ISA book that can be used at the bookstore
at ISA EXPO.

NI help engineers optimise automation systems
NI This year at National
Instruments will be showcasing how engineers are optimising their automation systems with
high-speed measurements, advanced analysis and control. They show, on stand 2242, a new product that provides high performance deterministic I/O with
tight synchronisation for advanced control. We will also be demonstrating LabVIEW 8.6, and how it
can reduce the development time of high-performance FPGA-based advanced control and embedded
prototyping applications, and more easily create distributed measurement systems to acquire data
remotely.
Ocular introduces new HMI systems with advanced touch screen technology
Ocular is introducing two new HMI operator interface systems which combine the robust processing
resources of Intel and ARM processors with their new touch screen technology, which is also being
introduced at the show. This new all-glass touch screen offers better optical clarity and improved
durability in harsh environments over film-based touch screens.
Iconics 3D Theater ICONICS will introduce new industrial automation software, as well as provide a
presentation at its own 3D Theater.
They will provide a blockbuster experience at ISA 2008 with multiple showings of its
3D capabilities throughout the show. In addition, be sure to stop by their Café 64
in Booth 1942 for some refreshments and to further experience the “Next
Generation in Automation Software”.
Meriam Process Technologies
Meriam will be unveiling recent additions to its
product line at this year's show - complete with hands-on demonstrations and the opportunity to
interact with Meriam's technical and engineering experts. "This past year, Meriam focused on
