The
complete story!
"Adding Wireless to Sensors"
Oceana Sensor Module LLC announced The Wireless Sensor
Module or the WSeMTM. The component is approximately the same size as 2 cents (US or Euro)
end to end. The design of the WseMTM is a result of years of market investigation.
WSeMTM uses current 802.11 wireless network infrastructures that are pervasive in most
enterprises today. A WSeMTM contains an analog to digital converter/filter, an on-board
processor, and 802.11 wireless communication capability all on one printed circuit board.
New products for the oil & gas, HVAC,
restoration and automotive markets
GE Sensing featured six new products
at the show. Their PanaFlow™ ISX, PanaFlow MV and Sentinel LNG
were offerings in the flow range; the Ruska Model 2482 differential
piston gauge and their Psyclone and Optisonde represented moisture and
temperature technology.
Beta tests success!
MTL and Byres Security announced that they have successfully
completed beta testing on the Tofino™ Industrial Solution. It was
being demonstrated at the show.
Wireless sensor solution requires no cabling and no batteries!
GreenPeak Technologies announced their revolutionary
new product portfolio for ultra-low-power wireless sense and control
networks. The new company offers open standard, easy-to-install wireless
communications devices for sensor applications that can operate without
power cabling or a battery. Their new wireless communication devices
leverage three key technologies that enable it to operate in a
battery-free environment without cabling. First an ultra-low-power
wireless transceiver and sensor interface design with efficient power-up
and power-down modes that dramatically reduce power consumption.
Secondly an energy harvesting interface that enables the modules to
utilize power provided by e.g. external solar, electromagnetic, and
piezo-electric transducers and third, is a mesh technology that enables
designers to create extended sensor networks without the need for
battery-powered or cabled routing nodes. This innovative mesh technology
is also self-forming and self-healing, making it easy and inexpensive to
install.
Wireless tour of show! -
WINA will sponsor a Wireless Tech Tour entitled "No Wires, No Hype" at the show. They will will also host three conference sessions
as part of the Wireless and Networking Exchange. The Tech Tour will give attendees a chance to hear expert overviews of the various wireless technologies available in the market today. The tour will move through the ISA EXPO exhibit floor, providing information, answering questions, and responding to participant's wireless interests in a casual group environment.
