Featuring over 700 of the industry's leading manufacturers at the exhibition, 2 powerhouse technical conferences including nearly 100 sessions and 2 symposia dedicated to motion control and sensor technologies, over 25 specialized training courses, product pavilions featuring the latest in motion control and sensors, the InTech Innovators Center, and the most comprehensive New Product Showcase in the Americas, ISA 2001 promised to be Too BIG To Miss!. The events of September 11 however overshadowed the end of the show which closed a day early. This is the ISA's own report datelined 12th September.

  • Swagelok Company
    Tube-fitting installation is made easier and more cost-effective with the Swageloks multihead hydraulic swaging unit (MHSU), which properly pre-swages multiple sizes of fractional and metric Swagelok tube-fittings. Available in 1/2 to 1 inch and 12 to 25mm, or 1 to 2 inch and 25 to 50mm Swagelok tube-fitting sizes, the MHSU reduces makeup torque and installation time. The unit has interchangeable, corrosion-resistant stainless steel tooling and is available with a tube-marking feature that indicates when the tube is properly bottomed.

    The line of Intelligent Pressure & Temperature modules. The DSA (Digital Sensor Array) from Scanivalve Corp's incorporates 16 pressure sensors, a 16 bit A/D, and a microprocessor. Output is Engineering Units Via Ethernet TCP/IP. The DTS (Digital Thermocouple Scanner) accepts 16 standard type J,K,E,R,S,T,&N thermocouples. It includes an isothermal block and uses the N.I.S.T thermocouple tables to convert to Engineering Units. Output is also Ethernet TCP/IP protocol. Labview drivers are available for both units. Thay can be seen measuring pressures & temperatures real time on a live steam engine.

    ISA - The Instrumentation, Systems, and Automation Society recently selected Gary Krall, president and chief operating officer of Reichhold, Inc., as the honourary chair for their annual conference and exhibition, ISA 2001. Scheduled for 10-13 September at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas, ISA 2001 is North America's largest exhibition and conference for instrumentation, systems, and automation professionals.

  • Rockwell Automation
    To provide faster and more accurate monitoring of machine performance, Rockwell Automation has increased the capabilities of its Entek product family with the Enpac handheld data collector. The enhanced Enpac 1200 is now capable of simultaneous two-channel data acquisition as part of routine data gathering. Additionally, the Enpac supports add-on features such as off-route data collection and a two plane balancing application.

    The new xendos 2200 gas analyser just announced worldwide by Servomex Group will feature.
