Industrial software in 3D! - The Siemens Industry Automation Division has now acquired a number of software companies and, in so doing, has consolidated its leading position in the industrial software market. Temperature monitoring - Raytek has expanded its MI3 product line for non-contact temperature monitoring by a new communication box with four analog outputs that are galvanically isolated from the power supply as well as from each other. Optical time-domain reflectometers - Yokogawa has added four new models to its AQ1200 Series of handheld multi-function OTDRs (optical time-domain reflectometers), bringing the total number of products in the range to seven. I.S Vibration analysis! - The CSI 2125-IS Machinery Health Analyser from Emerson is an intrinsically safe vibration analyser. It is certified for use in intrinsically safe IECEx and ATEX Zone 0 and Zone 1 hazardous areas New performance PXI DMM - Geotest has recently introduced the GX2065, a 6.5 digit PXI DMM for high performance measurement applications and it will be on display at Electronica (Munich D 13/16 Nov 2012). Semiconductor test capabilities - Geotest have also expanded the capabilities of the TS-900 semiconductor test system with the addition of a new manipulator option and automated handler compatible receiver.
Wire harness software - EPLAN has taken over the development and sales rights to Harness Expert, the established 3D/2D software for wire harness engineering. New environmental face - As a result of recent growth, environmental instrumentation company Quantitech has added a further engineer, Philip Grant, to the company's service team.
