Microelectronics pioneer passes - Joop Eggelaar, founder and CEO of Microtronic died recently. He was a founding member of the International Society of Hybrid Microelectronics (ISHM) which later became the International Microelectronics and Packaging Society (IMAPS) of which Joop was an honorary member and held the position of Treasurer for many years.
