The World's leaduing Industrial Networking Show and Conference

  • New venue for FieldComms UK - Fieldcomms reports strong support for its move to Telford Exhibition Centre for 1998 (28th to 29th October).
    The Conference is to present a series of "action packed" seminars of application led case studies (many in conjunction with end users) to demonstrate how fieldbus provides a real and tangible benefit at different levels in the workplace and covering a wide variety of industries.

  • Quarndon Electronics will be featuring CANbus products ranging from Integrated circuits through evaluation/development kits, boards and systems, as well as bus based CAN modules. (Stand C15)
  • Anixter Distribution a leading cable distributor exhibit a range of cables for Fieldbus applications including Belden low-smoke non-halogen cables and Lonworks cables. Also the Siecor Lanscape fibre optic solutions. (Stand C51)
  • Kerpen Special Ltd's new catalogue shows their range of fieldbus cables.
  • Contemporary Controls Manufacturers of industrial networking and connectivity products, principally to the Arcnet standard. They provide network interface modules for several bus architectures.
  • Control Technology International (CTI) This company are on the ProfiBus Stand (B1) advising on the use of the Applicom Communication Srver as a bridge between Profibus and other Fieldbus protocols.
  • MTE Turck launches a complete line of passive components for Fieldbus Foundation . Junction baxes and bus cables are available in na variety of packages and styles.
  • The International P-NET User Organisation (IPUO) promises to display an extensive range of modules, transmitters, controllers and PC software, especially designed for interconnection via the European fieldbus Standard BS EN 50170 Vol. 1.
    The IPUO will also be giving a seminar on the many diverse P-NET applications already installed throughout the world.
  • Rockwell Automation introduces the Allen-Bradley 1788-CN2FF ControlNet to Fieldbus linking device that adds full Fieldbus Foundation capability to a ControlNet based system.
  • System Devices will be featuring Opto 22's full range of addressable 'field' I/O and distributed control systems along with Opto's FactoryFloor software suite. FactoryFloor comprises a flowchart based programming language, an HMI and communication packages to allow data transport via DDE, SQL or JET database tables. If the customer is using Windows NT it even includes a 'softlogic' tool as well, all for £250!
  • AS-I - Along with the news that AS-Interface had been standardised under EN 50295, Dr. Andreas Schiff, Member of the Board of the AS-International Association in Germany announced a range of technical enhancements for AS-Interface, extending the capabilities of the technology and bringing additional user benefits.
  • R Stahl announced a new Ex-protected remote I/O system.
  • Weidmueller will be showing its complete control solution for management and automation of environmental, energy and security conditions throughout a building. The Room Control Device (RCD) together with Integrated Room Controller (IRC) enable communication between all individual LON based components within a building. (Stand C10)
  • ifm Electronic Ltd show innovative additions to the company's already extensive AS-i range. Among the latest AS-i products are high-speed analogue slave modules, pt100 temperature monitoring modules, and air boxes with integral valves, which make it easy to control pneumatic systema from AS-i installations. (Stand C30).
  • System Devices Ltd On show will be devices which can be adapted to fit any process control situation, including MISTIC I/O, Profibus, Etherbus, IEEE 1384, 654 channel digital rack and Modbus.(Stand D20)
  • PEP Modular Computers will be demonstrating the SMART2 intrlligent I/O micro-controller in a multivendor application on the ProfiBus Stand (B1).
  • Proces-Data will launch VIGO 4.0, the latest fieldbus management system for Windows 95/98/NT, which utilises OLE technology and has a standardised application interface to provide links with protocols types, such as P-NET, ModBus Protocol, Profibus and WorldFIP.
  • Harting Elektronik Limited - is featuring a number of new interconnecting and switching products aimed at Fieldbus applications in the process control, industrial automation, transportation and utility sectors.
  • Wieland Electric - introduced ricos earlier this year. This is a fieldbus offering a range of benifits including fast, efficient input/output connection for multiple protocols, network independance, market-leading diagnostics for commissioning and ease of wiring.
  • ProfiBusVisitors to the Profibus Stand were among the first in the UK to receive their free copy of the latest multi-media CD ROM Electronic Product Guide (EPG) from ProfiBus International.
  • Hilscher supply PC cards as short ISA expansion cards, in the PC/104 format and an extremely compact OEM form for many of the fieldbus platforms. (Marketd in Britain by Allbite Industrial Electronics.
  • Harland Simon Process Controls displayed the latest products from PMA (Prozess-und Maschinen - Automation), leading manufacturers who have a substantial share of the traditional temperature and process control instrumentation market.
