- Free Seminars 66 vendor seminars will be presented during the show in three rooms. No booking is required for these, just turn-up and sit down.
- Fisher-Rosemount will be demonstrating how its latest software solutions can work with 'smart' field equipment to bring major new benefits to process plant operators. This will include the first UK demonstration of the new Asset Management Solutions (AMS) packages for better plant management running on a Windows NT terminal.
- WE Instrumentation will be showing a new paperless chart recorder and a powerful 100mm digital recorder, both from Westronics plus several new fibre-optic products from Weed and multicolour bar graphs from Weschler.
- Matsushita Automation Controls will launch the high speed, low cost Micro Vision System that uses input from a high resolution CCD camera to analyse images with numerous special purpose inspection packages.
- Integrated Measurement Systems will be showing their new next generation of compact, multifunction PC CPU card with VGA and Ethernet as well as the IPC-6006 Modular PC-Bus card cage and all their innovative products introduced during the year.
- Agema will be showing their new Thermovision 500 Generation hand-held infrared cameras, and will be demonstrating their popular Thermovision 900 thermal imaging system for research and development applications.
- Swagelok will display a range of valves, fittings and many other fluid system components aimed at providing the most cost effective system solutions.
- Rochester's RTU3000 distributed I/O provides 1ms time tagging with MODBUS communication, annunciators, signal conditioning, calibrators, transient recorders, programmable relay and circuit breaker tester.
- Toshiba The new high torque, compact S7 drive as well as the high performance G3. Thay also will be showing PLC's, their small T1 and the flexible larger application model T2.

- National Instruments are to show their new BridgeView graphical software package for building industrial strength automation systems for a wide variety of process and manufacturing applications.
- Ellison Sensors (ESI) broke new ground with the introduction of their non-wired pressure transmitter. More details from ESI.
- Douglas Randall launched a range of in-line flow detection devices using magnetically activated, double isolated reedswitch elements, in a Hoescht Hostaform, acetal polymer housing.
- Martron Instruments show the lightweight, high-performance digital oscilloscope, the Yokagowa DL1520.
- Klinger Fluid Instrumentation displayed new instrument isolation valves, BASEEFA-approved magnetic switches, magnetic level gauges for live steam applications, plus a new range of ball valves.
- Airflow has introduced the TA4 thermal Anemometer - a multitasking and versitile hand held instrument for effective measurement of air velocity, temperature and evan volume flow all from a single device.
- Brandenburg launched two high voltage digital meters capable of measurement to 60kV. More details are available from Ian Harper.
- Strategic Test showed the new flexPLC1 a PLC which has been highly integrated to deliver multiple channels of analogue and digital I/O, and full galvanic isolation of all inputs and outputs. Talk to Bob Giblett
- McGeoch Ltd introduced the Formex AB harsh environment fibre optic connectors.
- Thermocouple Instruments Limited's new TLP series of 4-20mA loop powered three and a half digit indicators is certified Ex ia IIC T4&5 and features a stainless steeel housing for offshore and other corrosive environments.
- Partech Instruments demonstrated the latest in Lonworks networking technology. They have recently reached agreement with Daton General Systems to distribute and sopport their Lonworks based products in the UK, water, process control and industrial automation sectors.
- Testo launched a new pocket size, non-contact infra-red thermometer.
- Watson-Marlow showed their new upgraded 704 pumps for the first time, which offer higher accuracy and improved control.
- Krohne had in the forefront of their introductions the Corimass Mastermeter, the latest edition to their mould breaking range of single straight-tube Coriolis mass flowmeters.
- Industrial Computer Source showed its extensive range of IBM-compatable industrial computer systems as well as new data-acquisition, control and networking products.
- Hawco introduced the Validyne DR800 Draft Range Transmitter to their range of pressure sensor and instrument systems.
- Eurotherm showed their new Series 2000 Temperature Controllers giving custo,mers a choice of package size from 1/32 to 1/4 DIN with basic to advanced funcionality and performance to suit the precise needs of the client.
- Data Translation announced the completion of an aggressive strateegy to ensure that all currently shipping ISA, PCI and PC Card hardware products, include the recently introduced PCI-EEZ series of data acquisition boards and MACH PCI frame grabbers, meet the requirements of the new European Directive for EMC (89/336/EEC).
- Paar Scientific launched a new beer foam testing method based on infrared measuring technology to give fast and reproduceable results.
